We’re getting there… (Week 5)

Start of week five and were getting close! After delegating award tasks to do in between meetings and hanging up recruitment posters around the school, we got straight to working on our robot. Teaching some first years some skills, and continuing the meticulous process of perfectly sized pulleys, gears, and shafts, we almost have the entire mechanism of the robot done— all that’s left to do is wire, code, and improve (and put on bumpers)!

This Tuesday we are missing one of our main leads, senior Gabriella Ballock, due to a special event. She is participating in the award ceremony for being one of the “Eighteen under eighteen” winners! Having completed many applications, interviews, and more, she was recently told of her success and has been reaping benefits ever since. With TV interviews, VIP classes, and more, we are ever so proud of her.

Despite this fun, though, the clock keeps ticking. Two and a half weeks until the GPR Competition! Hope to see you there— whether teaming with, playing against, or cheering with you!
